The Jaguar F-Type has been called the spiritual successor to the legendary E-type. It brings an excitement back to Jaguar that had been missing for some time. This nicely optioned 2017 R model convertible cranks that up even further with a supercharged 550hp engine and all-wheel drive, not to mention an exhaust growl that is a real attention getter. And it is all wrapped around a luxurious interior that stays true to the old English marque.
This example is finished in brilliant Polaris White. It is nicely contrasted by the black power convertible top that features one-touch operation; you can go top-down in a few seconds without removing your seatbelt. The optional 5-spoke 20” wheels with carbon fiber blades are in excellent condition and have been fitted with Pirelli P-Zero tires (255/35 front, 295/30 rear). There are also power retracting exterior mirrors and door handles.
The F-Type R drivetrain is where things heat up. It starts with a 5.0L supercharged V8 that is factory rated at 550hp. It has an extraordinary exhaust note as well. This is mated to an 8-speed QuickShift ZF automatic transmission and a full-time AWD setup. The result is good for 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph. Jaguar’s Adaptive Dynamics system provides excellent stability by adjusting damper rates up to 500 times per second based on driver input and vehicle attitude. To slow things down, this example has the Super Performance braking package with its distinctive red calipers.
The fabulous interior is the definition of sport luxury. It features the extended leather package done in black with red stitching along with well bolstered bucket seats. There are all the features you would expect from such a car; dual climate control, heated seats, heated steering wheel, color touch screen, navigation, backup camera, paddle shifters, and so much more. You also get the trick power retracting center dash vents and a Meridian sound system. The car includes a set of all-weather floor mats along with the factory carpeted mats.
This F-Type R convertible is a world class car. All this performance and luxury did not come cheap with an original sticker price of $115k ($108k base plus options). West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional and extremely rare and increasingly collectible last ever year of production example of this classic and all original 1996 Jaguar XJS 4.0L 6 cylinder 2+2 roadster 'Celebration Edition', this is one of the very final-runs of the 'Celebration Edition' cars, released for the 1996 model year, with only some 8K (yes eight thousand!) original miles! 1 of only 1,485 models built in the last year of production for this iconic series!
In 1995, the final specification changes were made and the car was referred to as the 'Celebration model' to celebrate the 60th year of Jaguar Cars and included diamond-turned wheels, Jaguar-logo embossed seats, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. All Celebration models feature the later AJ16 4.0 engine with improved performance, electric seats, electric mirrors, air conditioning, heated rear window, half wood steering wheel, wood gear selector, embossed seats and stunning diamond turned polished Celebration wheels. These special models could be recognized externally by their chromed side view mirrors and headlight border strip. Other features were the all-over wheel rims, steering wheel with wood sections top and bottom separated by leather on the sides and air bag, the wooden selector lever for the automatic transmission, the black hand brake lever with full leather cover, a Jaguar "leaper" embossed into the leather centered in the upper part of the seat backs, and contrasting piping around the seats and boot cover. These very last series of the XJS Celebration had been fitted with an aluminum engine block and the XK8-transmission.
Gorgeous and very desirable color combination of original factory 'Spindrift White' (Code NDM) color paint with its original 'Light Tan' color factory canvas power soft top and with a beautiful doeskin 'Coffee' (Code SDC) leather interior and matching tonneau cover. This particular car must be seen to be truly appreciated! A real head-turner! Obviously always garaged with no history of any accident damage whatsoever with all original factory parts and a clean CARFAX report - never abused, babied all the way!
The original factory and very striking 'Spindrift White' factory color paint is in stunning condition and the original 'Coffee' color leather seats with 'Light' piping are also in outstanding condition with virtually no signs of any wear and there are no flaws in the dashboard or the walnut veneer, the door panels or the carpets. The complimenting 'Light Tan' color soft top is also in exceptional and all original condition. The interior is also completely original with it's 'Jaguar' radio/cassette stereo system with a CD changer in the trunk and all the options and gauges are working as they should including the ice-cold air conditioning!

Mechanical inspections welcomed; if you wish to inspect the vehicle you must do so before bidding; upon request seller will be happy to deliver the vehicle to a local Torrance, CA or Santa Monica, CA mechanic of your choice for your prepaid inspection before the reserve price is met. Once the reserve price is met this vehicle is to be considered sold in ‘as is, where is’ condition to the highest bidder with no guaranties or warranties implied or given. Please have all funds available before bidding as a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required from the winning bidder within 48 hours (2 business days) of auction end; an immediate $500 non-refundable deposit is required through Ebay’s Paypal service to end the auction early if the "Buy it now" option is exercised and the balance in full is due within ten days of auction end in any case. In the case these terms of sale are not met seller reserves the right to either re-list the vehicle or offer the vehicle to the next highest bidder. Seller reserves the right to end the auction at any time before the reserve price is met. Payment by bank wire transfer, cash in person or cashiers check only. All inspections must be done prior to bidding. The non-refundable deposit in the amount of $1,000 is due within 48 hours of the auction end via bank wire transfer or cashier's check via overnight mail. Please note that CA Sales tax, DMV license fees, DMV registration fees, dealer documentary fee, any finance charges, CA emission testing fees, and any compliance fees are additional to the advertised price if any vehicle is to be sold and registered in California and not exported out of state by bill of laden; please see full details below. Please note that all vehicles sold to be registered in the state of California will be charged California sales tax on the final EBay sales price and any required government licensing, smog, documentation and registration fees. A documentation fee of $70, which is capped and regulated in California as opposed to some other states, is charged on each sale, which once established legally has to be charged equally on each sale, to cover any necessary costs related to FEDEX mailings and other professional documentation paperwork fees for processing documents to establish title and registration in order to complete the transfer of documents to the new registered owner.
