Description
The Jaguar XJS (XJ-S) is a luxury grand tourer manufactured by British car manufacturer Jaguar from 1975 to 1996, in coupé, fixed-profile and full convertible body styles. There were three distinct iterations, with a final production total of 115,413 units over 20 years and seven months. The XJS was relaunched in its final form in May 1991 as the last authentic Jaguar project before FORD ownership. Designed by Geoff Lawson, the Jaguar XJS offers a superb blend of performance and refinement resulting in a twenty-one year production and a firm place in the classic Jaguar.
The 1991 “Classic Collection” was a special edition for the V-12 powered XJS coupes and convertible Jaguars and introduced a range of fashionable new color and trim combinations, using light interior colors, with Magnolia (cream) and Doeskin (light beige) leather for the seats and interior trim. A color accent is added to the upholstery by contrasting piping while toning carpets complete the theme of lightness. Additional styling touches for the interior come from the gearshift knob – which is trimmed in leather to match the upholstery, a steering wheel covered with warm charcoal – toned leather and the extensive use of wood – in this case burl elm veneer – which is a signature of the classic Jaguar style.

The “Classic Collection” interior presents extremely well, with quality upholstery. In addition to a minor detail on the driver seat considering the regular use. Door panels and carpeting are in excellent condition and the original top is flawless showing no detail to be mentioned.
Beneath the hood rests the superb V-12 valve aluminum engine, 5.3 liter (326 cu.ins.), developing 263 horsepower at 5350 rpm, giving the XJS smooth and effortless performance capability. Modified for racing, the Jaguar V-12 added even further to its reputation in 1990 by powering the XJR-12 prototype racers, winners of both the Daytona and Le Mans 24-hour race.
The condition of this classic encourages show participation and regular use. This exquisite and desirable Jaguar offers a rare opportunity to acquire one of the last V-12 cars.
