Ran great until replacing fuel pump. After that, mechanic says it’s not pulsing, ie, the computer breaker or relay is bad. I’ve owned it 35 years and babied it until very recently when I had to store it outside. The rain, heat and wind really destroyed the interior, which is so sad because it was beautiful just a year ago. The engine just purred until I stored it too long with ethanol gas. That caused it to need a fuel pump, which was installed. That caused it to stop “pulsing.” The computer and alarm don’t turn on anymore. The body and paint are beautiful. One door ding it’s entire life.

There were a total of over 115,000 units produced in that time. The die-hards break them down into three different generations even though they are all the same platform. 1975-1981, 1981-1991 and 1991-1996 when it was launched under Ford Motor Company's new ownership of Jaguar.
This particular 1989 version checks all the boxes when looking for one of these highly beautiful and complex machines.
