The magnificent 1969 Jaguar XKE 4.2 Roadster featured here is finished in gorgeous Signal Red over a black leather interior and matching convertible top. This incredible motorcar was beautifully restored by Marquis specialist Donovan Restoration to Concours level; additionally, the engine was upgraded with triple Weber carburetors and five-speed manual transmission, as well as aluminum radiator, making this one of the best performing and driving E-Type Roasters we have ever driven. Just released from collector ownership, this 1969 Jaguar XKE 4.2 Roadster would be a great addition to any prominent collection. I personally believe the investment potential of these iconic British classics will grow beyond your imagination. Considered by many to be the quintessential British Sports Car, the Jaguar E-Type’s unveiling in 1961 caused a sensation both with the press and the public eye. Admirers came from all walks of life; even Enzo Ferrari referred to it as “the most beautiful car ever made.” Beneath its gorgeous looks was a revolutionary sports car with rack and pinion steering, fully independent suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes with inward rear rotors. All of this was propelled by the already proven performance of the XK engine. The Series II E-Type was released in 1968 and continued the strong performance and handling mated with an iconic shape. Improvements were plentiful and included an increased grille opening to aid in cooling and a more refined interior that satisfied even the sportiest of drivers. All Series II E-types featured the larger 4.2-liter engine, which was good for over 240hp in U.S. specification. With further refinements, proven performance, and stylish lines, it is no wonder why examples have become highly sought-after by classic Jaguar collectors and enthusiasts alike today. However, as with all pre-owned automobiles, the condition is subjective, and we recommend that the potential buyer fly out to inspect, as well as test drive any of our vehicles before finalizing their purchase. If it is not feasible for you to personally perform an inspection, we will gladly help facilitate an inspection by an independent service center of your choice and will make delivery arrangements of the vehicle for this purpose. All vehicles are sold in “AS IS” condition. Extended warranty options are available on most vehicles. Please be advised that no verbal statements concerning any vehicle constitutes a representation or warranty of said vehicle. Our goal is to provide you with the best service and buying experience as possible. All purchases include an additional $385 processing fee which covers the processing of paperwork, pre-vehicle delivery costs, FedEx shipping fees, and a 30-day temporary registration plate so that the vehicle can be driven prior to the title transfer. A Non-refundable 25% deposit must be received within 48 hours of auction end or buyer must call to make special arrangments/ down payment for deposits. Final payment must be received during the next 5 WORKING DAYS. Payment can be made by Cashier's Check, Money Order or by Bank Wire Transfer Funds must be cleared before car leaves our establishment Cashiers checks must clear for ten days as well unless verified by the bank. Wire tranfer normally clear within a 1-2 days and car is available for pick upon confirmation of Funds received. Any questions call please call 619-667-3136. Bid with the confidence of a good investment! Precious Metals will be happy to answer any questions on this item, send more specific pictures, etc. to ensure a comfort level to the bidders. We would also like to invite you or a third party out to come inspect any one of our vehicles. If you bid on a No Reserve auction or you are the high bidder and the reserve has been met, you own the item. If you cancel a sale for any reason you are subject to a $500.00 fee as a cost to Precious Metals. If you claim you made a mistake you are still subject to a $500.00 fee to cover all our expenses caused by your actions, Buy clicking buy it now, bidding, or submitting offers you agree to this. Any vehicle purchased in California and not shipped on a commercial carrirer out of state is subject to Tax, and All Dmv Fees associated with purchase. If a buyer buys a car and hauls it on his own trailer enclosed or open the transaction is also subject to Sales Tax and DMV fees. If a buyer buys a car and wishes to drive the vehicle home we are required to collect california sales tax. Sales tax is non-refundable for any reason.
