Description
"Time-Capsule" 1967 Jaguar Etype Series 1 Fixed-head Coupe: One documented owner since new (name on Heritage Certificate matches name on title); stored since 1975; all numbers match; rare Dark Blue/Dark Blue color combination. The original owner parked this car in 1975 in a storage facility and it remained there for 42 years. The car was so buried we could barely see it (please see the picture of the "stealth cat" ready to pounce from underneath 42 years of accumulated junk). Miles on odometer are accurate 97,211. Interior is untouched original, original dash is near perfect. Engine has not been started in 42 years, likely needs rebuild. The car sat on cold concrete for over 4 decades and that caused rust in the rocker areas, but other areas are surprisingly sold, such as original floors. Superb for restoration. We go to extents to document our cars in pictures and provide the most transparent listings on Ebay. Please study the pictures carefully rather than requesting descriptions. Please complete any inspections or ask any questions prior to bidding or committing to buy the car. Thanks for the interest!

This 1970 Jaguar E-Type is a Series II roadster is red over a tan leather interior and is powered by a numbers-matching 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. It is rust free having spent decades in Texas prior to being purchased by me in 2011, Servicing under current ownership included refurbishing the speedometer, rebuilding the carburetors, replacing the clutch slave cylinder, and installing a replacement tan convertible top to concours quality. Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels with Jaguar knock-off hubs are wrapped in 185-series Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, and the braking system was flushed and bled in 2014. The interior is trimmed in tan leather with matching carpeting and door panels, offset by a black dashboard and black rubber floor mats. Amenities include a Becker Europa AM/FM radio and a wooden shift knob and comes with factory black shift knob. A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows just under 58k miles, approximately 1,300 of which have been added since 2011. The speedometer cable was replaced in 2014. This is a #2 Excellent Jaguar based on Hagerty car values, and is valued at $130,000 but being offered at $89,500 for a quick sale. Contact number: 614-208-5884.
